HOW WE SUPPORT YOUTH
Many of our students come to Subway to take senior level courses and spend a fifth year in high school to upgrade and expand their future options. The majority of our students come to Subway because the traditional school system does not support their unique needs.
Each individual learns and navigates the world in his/her own unique way. At Subway we support and cultivate the individual while encourage community-mindedness and inclusion. We measure student’s success based on where they are at when they join our school, not on where students should be in their academic progress.
Our aim is to guide students in their learning, while working on the social and emotional struggles they face during adolescence. We are firm believers in the support systems provided by the TDSB and we are willing to help students get back on track and stay there. We are in an age of information overload. Our goal is to help students utilize that information and convert it into knowledge and transferable skills to ensure they have success after high school.
